Voices from Port Outreach

We have six ships unloaded, cleaned, and ready to move.  The auction will be held on 4 Mouse, starting 2 degrees after Eclipse.  Bids may be in person or online (follow the link from the POHarbor site).  Artifacts and artwork must be evaluated for conversion to credit hours before Eclipse.  You can view the available ships at the Harbor site, or you are welcome to come to the harbor and look them over.

Thanks for doing this, mod crew–we’ve been needing it for a while.

To everyone looking for a new home: Right now there are five ships ready to be hauled up and taken. Before I open up the auction, I want to clairify a couple of things.

1. Whatever artwork or labor voucher or combination finally wins a certain ship does not (unfortunately) go to me; it goes to city hall, where they decide what place or project to use it on. You can find the list of projects by hitting the “gov” button on your emkay and following the obvious links. If you don’t like what they’re doing with it, scream at them or replace them (both easy enough), but please leave me out of it.

2. Anyone is more than welcome to show up in person for the auction, just like in the old days, but I would appreciate it if those who did stay in the area marked for auction viewing. The next person to come marching into The Nonesuch uninvited will suddenly become very wet.

3. Someone is always available to let you onto one of the available ships to look around. But we are not going to let you onto a ship before it has been unloaded and prepped, so please stop wasting our time by asking.
