The Mediators are a key part of Port Outreach society, although they represent an element often overlooked by design. Priding themselves on their non-confrontational behavior and unobtrusiveness, the Mediators help handle disputes, confusions, and dangerous situations that may interfere with day to day life within the city. They also provide counseling services to nagara who are facing a difficult time.

Thanks to Continuous Labs, emkay transmissions from selected Mediators throughout the vicinages of Port Outreach are now being translated onto our Mediator twitter feed and will also be reposted here on Voices. We’re interested in Mediators who would like to join the project.

Hopefully this will clear up some misconceptions visitors have about what the Mediators are and aren’t.

So tonight we were enjoying a soak in the hot tub, staring up at the Lovers, sharing some top quality gurge weed, and I suddenly decided this would be a perfect time to launch the blog. Our contacts at C-Labs were a bit surprised to hear from us during that predawn hour, but they groggily gave us the go-ahead anyway.

This thing is still pretty ugly and the datestamp still seems to be using Tellurian time. We’ll have to fix that someday. For now, you can sign up for a blog account of your own and start posting — though your posts will be moderated. I learned my lesson there the night Starl got unmoderated posting access on the Frayed Knot’s Meshlog.

In any case you should get posting, and I should get back to the hot tub. My wine glass is empty, the smoke’s gone out, and I can hear the others calling me.

Yours under the Lovers,

Tajna
