Hello friends,
Normally Karla posts here, but he’s been out of Port Outreach for quite some time. He asked me to pass on his greetings to his friends, and to explain where he has been. He unexpectedly had to leave to go to the passing-rituals for a friend of his who lived on the island of Berna, in the Archipelagos. Karla stayed there for a week, as is their tradition, and because he is a friendly man, and well-versed in their language, they agreed to give him some limited access to their archives. These are a people who have kept records back through every known phase of history, and before that, even. They are also a people with a robust and delicious culinary tradition. So for Karla it is like he is in what we Tellurians call “Heaven.” Karla tells me he has chosen a particular tale, a history or a myth, he did not make it clear to me, that he is translating, that he will share once he returns to Port Outreach. If you have anything particular in the way of special food stuffs that you would like him to bring back for you, please message me and I will ask him to get it for you. He is not with steady access to the mesh, while he stays on Berna, but we are in contact every few days.
So, that is about Karla. The other reason for my posting, is that while he has been gone the mediators have continued to work on identifying the poor Nagara who died so terribly. As most of you know, my particular form of intimacy service is dream sharing. Through the action of a special herb we smoke, and this unusual gift of mine, a dreamer and myself may have the same dream, and I in a mostly conscious state will fully remember it. This is a useful way to get access to memory that is only partial, and to use the dream state to fill the memories in. Of course, memories painted in this manner are not facts, but they can point to truth.
A cobbler came to see me, because he recognized the sandals in the photos posted some while ago. He made them and has more pairs like them in his shop. He could not remember who traded for them, though. Once in the dream state, however, we saw a man come to the shop wearing a yellow sarong like the one found with the body. This man traded a bottle of good drink for the sandals. He wore a distinctive hat–very bright, and in fact I believe I have glimpsed this hat in waking life, perhaps at a festival or party. I have made a sketch of the hat–forgive me, I am not an artist like my sweet Ruby. It is attached below. Please, look at this and if you know who the wearer is (or was), let us know? I do not think there could be many like it.

Our guest for tonight’s Gurge Rider chat, Pitri Pretty-face, had unrecoverable difficulties with her emkay. My assistant has taken her to one of the best repair shops in town. We’re going to postpone the final installment of the Gurge Rider chat until tomorrow night, again at Under the Spindle.
Once again, Tellurians should join us on January 30 at 8pm EST on #UndertheSpindle on irc.newnet.net.

Greetings nagara and nagarei! We’ll be holding the final part of our Gurge Rider discussion on 2 Lovers 12 at Under the Spindle in Harborview. We’ll be talking with Pitri Pretty-face, Rider and Mikasa Rider at Dark.
For our Tellurians visitors, connect to #UndertheSpindle on irc.newnet.net. The chat begins on January 29th at 8pm EST.
We’re sorry about the sporadic nature of m2i communications recently. We’ve had to bring the connection down on several occasions for security reasons.
We’re back (for now), and pleased to bring you Part 4 of Reesa Brown’s Rescue Ride, entitled “There are no miscalculations, only dead Gurge Riders.” This certainly is an exciting installment. I’m going to be eagerly awaiting the final installment.
